Subject Overview
- Math - This year we will be focusing on multiple mathematical operations. Most of these concepts are not new to students, however, they will be asked to apply their prior knowledge to more difficult tasks. A main focus will be on using both multiplication and division. Instead of just knowing the facts, students will need to apply them to fractions and decimals.
- Mastery of math facts is a must for success!!!
- Test corrections - After quizzes and tests, students may take the graded assignment and complete test corrections for partial points. This must be completed on a separate piece of paper, and all work must be shown. Having just an answer will not be counted, nor will changing answers on the original test paper.
- Religion - This year students will focus on how to live as a Christian and a disciple of Jesus. We will be examining the Ten Commandments and what they mean for us in our lives now. Students will be learning about the church, it's actions, and how we are a part of it.
- Science - This year in science we will make sure to focus on the Scientific Method and use this to study multiple scientific areas. Our main focuses will be on Earth systems and shapes, energy, waves, and structure, function, and information processing.
